It's been a while since I posted over here, so I figured I would make a general update on my writing and fannish interests (tl;dr: not much is new)

I re-edited Scandalous (MacGyver, solo, panties, m/f thoughts) and added a bit to it.

I am maybe 80% done writing a sequel to Minnesota Peach (MacGyver, m/m, Mac/Murdoc, enemies to lovers) which looks like it will be about 3 times as long as the original one-shot.

After that, I plan to go back to Stargate SG-1 and finish the third part of the trilogy I'm writing there.

Writing a new long-ish work is a weird experience, since I've been living here for months and no one else (apart from my betas) have seen any of it. I know most writers, or at least most writers who wait to post until their writing is complete, are well aware of that but mostly I've done short one-shots before.

I have finished writing and posting Unlikely, the SG-1 foursome sequel to Incidental Discoveries. Both of these are Explicit, though Unlikely takes a little time and emotional wrangling to get there.

Incidental Discoveries, at just under 10k, was my longest work of fiction when I posted it; the sequel is twice as long.

These two stand alone but I do have a planned third fic in the works.

I did a couple of little illustrations for my own work as well.

I spent hours this morning trying to figure out why Affinity, which I switched to about a month ago, would not correctly combine shapes. After going through all the interface options and all the tutorials I could find and having the same weird result no matter what I tried Mr. Luna, who gets recruited to help with Serious Tech Issues, found a note on a message board about this problem. It turns out it's a bug in Affinity which they have known about since the beginning of the year. Are they planning to fix it? Who knows. It breaks a very important part of creating shapes for laser cutting, so, well, now I am learning Illustrator. Belated Happy Birthday to me, I guess.

All this interface learning is greatly slowing down my art projects but at least this should be the last one considering that I am finally paying for The Good One instead of muddling through the cheap knock offs. That's the theory anyway.

I have managed to impose my will on Affinity enough to make a new Stargate lamp and significantly upgrade my icon with a photo of it.

I haven't written any new fic but since I don't think I ever linked the Stargate one I posted on AO3 a month ago, here's that: Bureaucracy

Mostly I'm trying to stay in the habit of posting here since I would like to be in touch with fic readers and writers.

I've been using Inkscape to create things for about 3 years now. Just about 6 months ago they finally released version 1.0 after years of 0.9x releases. So of course now the program has gone from simple and quirky but workable to totally unusable. It locks up every couple of minutes on even simple designs. I did some searching and apparently it works well on Linux now but this is a known problem for both PC and Mac? How is this a point they reached and decided yeah, time to finally call this our full-fledged 1.0 release?

I bought Affinity last year but I was too lazy and unmotivated to actually learn the new interface so I never really switched over but I guess it's time. 

 Time for another fun fic roundup of the Venomous variety!
